PRUFTECHNIK supplies not only premium alignment systems for machine and shaft alignment, but also induction heating tools designed for mounting bearings on shafts. Induction heating offers safety, efficiency and overall energy savings.

EDDYTHERM Portable is suitable for bearings and components with a minimum inner diameter of 20 mm (0.78 in) and a maximum weight of 10 kg (22 lb). The maximum induction temperature is 180°C (356°F), protecting bearings against overheating and damage. The component is placed on the conical heating surface. Integrated time and temperature control ensures uniform heating without any risk of overheating.

How does induction heating work? In just a few minutes, bearings are preheated by induction so they expand and slide effortlessly onto the shaft. Once cooled, the bearing returns to its original size, ensuring a perfect fit on the shaft. Induction heat preserves all material tolerances and properties. No additional operation is required. EDDYTHERM Portable is a safe induction heating tool that heats only the component, not the tool itself.
