Separ-o – Dross Separator
Separ-o – Dross Separator
The SEPARO dross separator was developed to isolate the oxides that inevitably form during wave soldering or tinning-bath operations. It separately recovers the alloy as ingots and the oxides for disposal.
SEPARO uses differences in material density. The heavier alloy settles at the bottom of the tank after passing through a suitable metal filter, while the lighter oxides or dross are retained and float on the surface of the molten material.

Our rotary solder pots keep the solder surface consistently clean and bright. The crucible rotates against a fixed scraper blade, which collects and removes dross.
An alloy is placed in the tank, melted, and pumped through the nozzle to form an extremely smooth wave. This process enables components to be soldered or desoldered without affecting or damaging neighboring components.
Static solder pots are generally used for tinning, gold removal, or enamel stripping. Some pots can be equipped with a manual pantograph for batch component tinning or with automatic systems.
